Does a bot join my meetings?
No. CallScrib reads transcripts via the Microsoft Graph API after the call ends. There is no bot to admit from the lobby and nothing visible to participants. The meeting looks exactly the way it did before you installed us.
Does it work for phone calls?
Yes. CallScrib is one of the few Teams apps that covers PSTN phone calls in addition to video meetings. A Teams Phone license is required on the calling side.
What is the Desktop Agent?
A lightweight app that runs in your menu bar (macOS) or system tray (Windows). It auto-detects meetings on any platform — Google Meet, Zoom, Teams, and more — and delivers AI summaries without requiring IT admin approval.
Which option should I choose — Cloud or Desktop?
Use Cloud if your organization is Teams-only and your M365 admin can enable transcription. Use the Desktop Agent if you need multi-platform support, cannot get admin approval, or want to get started as an individual. You can use both.
What AI powers CallScrib?
Summaries are generated with Mistral Small 4 via DeepInfra, using a zero-retention API. Your transcripts are never used to train any model. All processing complies with GDPR.
What languages are supported?
Summaries can be generated in 20+ languages including English, Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Mandarin, Arabic, and more. Each user picks their preferred language in Settings.
